About the Movie

Released 7/11/01 by Square Pictures and Sony Entertainment, Final Fantasy was a movie that set a new level for realistic computer graphics.  It was the first movie in history that tried to emulate realistic humans and environments using CGI, and, despite a couple of flaws in expression, it did quite well for itself.  Almost everyone agrees to that, but graphics don't make a movie.

The story is what many people complained about.  Movie critics, for the most part, didn't like it.  There were some aspects that confused or annoyed viewers.  Everyone hates it.

However, somehow I find that "everyone hates it" is a miscalculation.  On average, it gets 4.5 out of 5 on one website I found that allows viewers to rate movies, even with 0s and 1s thrown into the calculation.  Sounds like quite a few people like it, actually.  There are still other websites that it gets a lot less of a rating, or personal reviews that tear it to pieces.

But not everyone hates it.  I admit, it's not the best, it has its flaws, but I love it and I love it to pieces.
