Not by Squaresoft (Square
- Enix, whatever). Unfortunately.
Around 1999, I think it was, a certain, and so-called, "game" came to my attention. Called "RPGMaker," it allowed one to make one's own RPGs. I took little interest in it. It was neat, yes, but I didn't have any ideas for games.
A new version was released in 2000, dubbed RPGM2k, and was better than it's predecesor, I guess. A version was eventually ported to the Playstation. Another game is going to be released for Game Boy (rather, I assume, the Game Boy Advance), but that's skipping ahead. I wasn't much more interested in RPGM2k, either. Or RPGM2k3, when it was released. Although...
Sometime last spring, I came across a portrait schema for TSW. A quick search revealed no other resources, and I forgot to be interested.
Sometime last month, I came across the same portrait set. Beforehand, I'd been playing a game made by RPGM2k. The TSW portraits were distorted and smushed, and I remembered that I had previously thought I could do better. And that there were no other resources for TSW.
So I started tinkering. I still don't have an idea, but now I'm interested. Who knows? Maybe I'll make something interesting.
